What’s the best way to care for my jewelry?
Silver-plated wire will tarnish over time. Keep your piece looking great by polishing occasionally with a soft cloth. Kate recommends keeping pieces in their own cloth bags, as this prevents stones from scratching or chipping. Jewelry can be washed in luke warm water (not hot).
A note on pricing
A lot goes into making and selling things. Kate is careful to Make Things at a variety of price points, so her art is accessible. Each piece she creates takes a number of hours to create, market, photograph, and upload to this website. She also does all processing and shipping herself. Subsequently, any complaints about high prices will be ignored. Art is worth money, and sometimes certain things aren't in line with a person's budget - and that's ok. Kate will keep Making Things, and will always make sure she Makes Things at a wide range of price points.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment is taken via Paypal or by entering your card information via Wix. All payments are kept secure, and your information remains private. Kate doesnt share information with anyone, for any purpose. The only emails you will receive will be related to a question you ask, or an order you have placed.
Can I commission Kate to create a custom artwork or piece of jewelry?
Kate very rarely will be open for custom work, as time allows. You are always welcome to email her and inquire about her availability for commissions, or you can follow her on Instagram to keep up to date on her new pieces and announcements.
